Glamorous in seductive red and opulent black, the candle-lit cafe with its lovey dovey music in the background and the occasional live piano music will undoubtedly bring two hearts closer. If you are an Ipohan, you’ve probably come across “Gomok” at the corner shoplot while roaming about in new town. Gomok has a round chubby dude as its mascot and oh dear does that mean that we will become “gemuk”(fat) after eating at Gomok? Gemuk or not, Gomok is a fun addition to the handful of halal cafes in Ipoh, serving Malay and Western cuisine.
Food & Desire serves some out-of-the-norm creations on top of the typical cafe menu we see in Ipoh, such as porky fries, cereal killer, chocolate fondue and Penang white laksa to name a few. It’s all porkilicious too with a good amount of items dedicated to pork, pork and pork, good for those that are looking for a little oink oink.
The Milk House Cafe on top of serving cafe food, it also serves a rarity – fresh milk, delivered daily from the origin of production. It is located in a long, narrow stretch of space between two buildings, maximizing the space which is barely 2 meters wide.
