China Hangzhou
On the West Lake, there are little islets where you can visit by boat. The three adjoining islets with refreshing Chinese gardens and the three pagodas on the water form the attraction of “Three Pools Mirroring the Moon”. When candles or lamps are placed within the pagoda, the light emits from the 5 holes on the pagoda. With 3 pagodas, from afar it looks like 15 little moons shining on the lake. Continue reading

Honeymoon Dessert @ Hangzhou China
The desserts at Honeymoon Dessert (满记甜品) are really impressive and addictive! We ate there twice while we were in Hangzhou. All the desserts looked so enticing it was difficult to choose. I loved this mixed fruit with glutinous rice and jelly in mango juice (RMB 27). A lively combination of mangoes, kiwis and chewy gummies! Continue reading

Nine Creeks by Misty Trees @ Hangzhou China
The Nine Creeks are fairly close to the Longjing Tea Village that we visited. The Nine Creeks are rated as one of the Ten New Scenes of West Lake in Hangzhou which has a few names in Chinese – 九溪烟树 (jiu xi yan shu) meaning Nine Creeks by Misty Trees or 九溪十八涧 (jiu xi shi ba jian) meaning Nine Creeks & Eighteen Streams. We walked about 1 hour from the Longjin Tea Village as transportation wasn’t readily accessible (unless you hire a cab for the day). Continue reading
