Decadent Cafe in Cesky Krumlov is a hidden gem located in Latran. Painted in conspicuous red inside out and with a name like “Decadent”, it’s impossible to walk pass the cafe cum art club without going inside to see how decadent it is.
The cafe’s got personality; it’s got charm, it’s got style with an eclectic mix of furnitures. The black and white photos consist of a curious mix of portraits and nudes, creating a striking visual contrast with the red walls, also creating an intriguing subdued erotic theme.
The cafe has quite a bit of books, stacked into any available space. I wouldn’t mind spending an afternoon here with my own book with a few glasses of wine or coffee.
Sometimes when the interior of a cafe is this stunning, I tend to think that the interior decoration will probably outshine the food. But no I was wrong! It’s not a full fledged restaurant so it doesn’t serve any main courses but it serves sandwiches, wines, coffees and juices. The three-layered ham and cheese sandwich was pretty smashing despite being very simple. The grilled sandwich had an ample amount of cheese and ham with a drizzle of vinaigrette and a dash of dried herbs (120 KC, about 4.5 Euros).
I like the bottle of this lemon soda though the soda was too sweet for me (60 KC, about 2 Euros).
Enjoy a few more photos of the cafe below 🙂
