We stayed in Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel in Beijing for one night because I am fascinated by the historical “Siheyuan” (四合院) or quandragle architecture – meaning that the complex consists of 4 buildings with 1 courtyard, and also to experience the old Bejinger’s way of life in the hutong. The quiet hutong is away from the noisy main street yet close enough to a supermarket nearby. The nearest MTR station is the Dongsi station that’s a 10-15 minutes walk away. Continue reading
