Mai Thai Restaurant, a casual place to get good Thai food located in Taman Desa‘s convenient vicinity.
To start off, the tangy, spicy, and piquant mango kerabu (som tam) (RM 10) is palatable for sweet & sour lovers like me. All the right tastes are there but I think the dish could have been even better with the addition of fried baby shrimps.
Green chicken curry is presented in a beautiful emerald-green color. A delightful dish with chunky chicken that is rich and exotic.
Tom yam goong (RM 12) is a must for me in a Thai meal and I prefer it white! It makes the whole dinning experience – complete. The white tom yam is heavenly! Extracting the flavors from natural ingredients like lemon grass, galangal and chilli, instead of ready-made red paste.
Simple vegetable stir-fry.
The water chestnut dessert (thab tim krob) is pleasing to the eyes with its strong contrast of red + yellow, delectable to the taste buds with crisp water chestnut pieces embedded in chewy, red, gummy starch with slivers of sweet jackfruit.
