There’s two types of trains going between Hualien and Taipei, Tze-Chiang Limited Express and Chu-Kuang Express. When you book the tickets online from the official Taiwan Railways Administration website, look for the Taroko Express (太魯閣號)
We went to Nanmen Market (南門市場) that’s just across the road from Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Nanmen Market is a great place to go to experience Taiwanese culture in a different way. By looking at the raw ingredients that the Taiwanese use to cook, the kind of snacks they eat, you get a glimpse into their daily lives through food!

We had a late start as we were quite tired from our pre-wedding photography on the previous day.
We went to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (中正纪念堂). The hall is designed to resemble the Taiwanese flag, using only blue and white as its color combination. The blue tiles represent the blue sky, the white walls represent the white sun, and with a flower bed of red flowers, the three colors of blue, white and red echoes the flag.
