The Supertree Grove is located within the vast compound of Gardens by the Bay. It is the most magical at night, serenaded by flamboyant lights and bejewelled giant trees.
The supertrees are much more than an ostentatious display of contemporary architecture. With technology presented in an evocative way, the supertrees not only take the form of trees, they are also eco-friendly, mimicking photosynthesis, where solar panels at the canopy harvest light energy to illuminate the trees at night.
Be prepared to be mesmerized by the supertrees when the Garden Rhapsody is performed twice nightly at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm. They are even more enchanting with a whimsical play of lights that dance with the orchetral music in the air. The lights sometimes staccatoed with the music, as if tip-toeing, and sometimes crescendoed with the music, composing a musical story illustrated by lights.
The Indo Chine Restaurant and the OCBC Skyway at the top of the trees allow panoramic view of the grove.
Other smaller supertrees are at different sections of the garden.
If you are going to Gardens by the Bay via Bayfront MRT station, the vicinity is a fantastic place to view the Supertree Grove, Flower Dome, the Cloud Forest, Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer from afar.
