Established in 1949, Ching Han Guan Biscuit Shop (鐘漢元餅舖) has strived across three generations, continuing to use traditional recipes to produce delectable Teow Chew biscuits. Their signature biscuits include walnut candy (核桃糕), meat floss lotus paste biscuits in variations, in original flavor, in pandan flavor and with egg yolk (肉丝莲蓉饼).
These meat floss biscuits are right out from the oven and the aroma of the biscuits is so inviting and gives you an instant mood uplift.

So where do you start, looking at this sinful collection of diverse carbohydrates?
Other than the signature biscuits, uncle tells me the “hiong piah”(香饼), cashew nut egg cookies(腰豆核桃酥) and wedding biscuits are popular too, his trio combo recommendation for new customers!
There is still endless things to try. There’s the wife biscuit, or “lou por peng” (老婆饼) , a different variation to the Hong Kong & Taiwan style. It’s a thin sheet of biscuit and not the flaky, fluffy cake with sweet a sweet paste inside.
There’s these fun crackling Telinga Biscuits, which means “cow ear cookies” (牛耳饼).
Then there’s the nostalgic childhood biscuits, the ice gems and raisin biscuits, which I really don’t know where else to find them.
With a plethora of biscuits, Ching Han Guan is the place to try traditional scrumptious biscuits.
