Fox Glacier @ New Zealand.

New Zealand West Coast

Fox Glacier is easily accessible on state highway 6, just 30 minutes away from Franz Josef township.   We stopped by Fox on our way to Wanaka.  Reaching the base of the glacier is much faster compared to Franz Josef Glacier. We just had to walk a short distance on the dry riverbed for 15 minutes before being able to see Fox Glacier from afar. Whereas for Franz Josef Glacier, we had to go through the jungle, walk on dry riverbed for about 40 minutes before reaching the base of Franz Josef Glacier.
